Gaynor Higginbotham

BSc (Hons) Criminology, Graduate Diploma in Law, Prison Law Advocate

Gaynor completed her Criminology degree in 2010 with a 1st Class hons and has also completed the Graduate Diploma in Law. She has worked for 2 of the North Easts most prestigious law firms and has over 10 years experience advising clients in all aspects of prison law including appeals, recall to custody, pre-tariff SIFT reviews, parole board reviews and providing advocacy at parole board hearings.

Gaynor also has extensive experience lodging judicial reviews to the Administrative Court protecting prisoner rights and was fundamental in the redrafting of local policies regarding the rights of transgender prisoners in the high security estate.
